Damien Sachs has money, power, and a personal agenda with no limits. On the very day he’s supposed to become CEO of a prestigious advertising agency, he wakes up in a parallel world where women run everything- and where his female counterpart, Alex Fox, turns out to be far more formidable than any opponent he’s ever faced. Sacha Baron Cohen and Rosamund Pike take this role and gender reversal all the way, in a satirical comedy about what happens when the rules of the game suddenly change- and when the person who wrote them becomes the first prisoner.

Ladies First, available on Netflix from May 22, is a Netflix Original directed by Thea Sharrock– already known for The Beautiful Game – and written by Natalie Krinsky, Cinco Paul, and Katie Silberman. A comedy about power, gender, and humiliation served with a hefty dose of irony: when the most confident man in the room suddenly becomes the most vulnerable. [TRAILER at the bottom]

The plot
The story follows Damien, a wealthy, deeply sexist man played by Sacha Baron Cohen. After an accident, he wakes up in an alternate reality where gender roles are completely flipped: women hold all positions of power, while men are subjected to stereotypes and discrimination. Forced to face this new social order, Damien experiences firsthand the dynamics he previously ignored or helped reinforce. The film uses this premise to build a satire about inequality and prejudice, blending humor, romance, and social critique.
